PKP Gdynia Główna

People who cannot rely on their vision in movement, in recognition of the place where the bus stops, or in reaching the pedestrian crossing, can benefit from the installed tactile paths. It is possible to recognize these horizontal markings using a cane, or even a foot.

Tactile path consists of two components:
  • guiding strip, which consists of series of longitudinal ridges, which are tactile marking routes free from obstacles and lead to specific locations like: pedestrian crossings, stairs, entrances, exits, platform edges etc.
  • fields of attention, which are point-convex elements arranged in the corners, ramifications, destination points, which the path leads to.
